If possible, I want the animation for season 2 to be better. Season 1 is hilarious but the animation look stiff sometimes, making the humor less intense than the manga's. But as long as we have season 2, I won't complain

The series might be taking place between July and September 2018 and it has been three years since we all are waiting for this drama. Fans are hoping a second season greenlit for 2023 will pick up where the first left off and adapt later arcs. As of now Grand Blue Season 2 has a scheduled release date of August 20, 2023. This exciting news came after years of radio silence from producers Zero-G and studios GRIP, though delays in the anime industry are still possible. So we can expect the announcement of Grand Blue Season 2 to be released in 2 or 3 months as the studio does not have any plan to make projects linked up. We would guess that season 2 will release at the end of 2021, or somewhere around the early of 2022 or in the mid of 2022.
Release Confirmed! Besides, as per current reports, the studio only has a few projects scheduled for 2020. Hence, there is a chance that it may pick up Grand Blue Season 2 soon after that. Although Zero-G is not known to create sequels.
